The most common sink you will find would be made of stainless steel. They are available in all price ranges. But it is not advisable to buy cheap stainless steel sinks as they would be made of very thin material and would not be durable. Moreover cheaper stainless steel sinks would get scratches on them easily. A good quality stainless steel sink would be easy to clean and won’t get scratched easily. It is better not to get the mirror type stainless steel sinks. Frequent use will scratch its surface and the shiny new look will become a foggy dirty look. Also do check if there is insulation under the sink bowl. Insulation tends to minimize the noise created by water drumming.
Choosing a sink to express your personal style is easy if you consider the information above. With so many options available at affordable prices, homeowners can create the bathroom of their dreams in just a few simple steps.
I am a fan of copper sinks. I think they are rugged yet elegant - especially as they age. The rich highlights and undertones of the patina process are constantly evolving. A copper finish is a \"living finish\" and never really stops changing in color. That being said, the evolution of a copper finish is gradual, and as it ages it becomes even more handsome. You can greatly reduce this change with the use of wax or even a lacquer product, but personally I like to let the copper evolve. Most often this process results in a mellow brownish weathered copper patina. I like to refer to it as the basins soul.
